This mattress is used for the maintenance of skin health; it aids in the healing of stage I-II skin ulcers (redness or superficial skin wounds).

This mattress features a high-density polyurethane foam base, 5 lb. memory foam core and an incorporated foam perimeter border for help with transfers and ADLs. This option offers a 1” gel insert to target protection to the coccyx area with the reduction of peak pressure points. This helps to reduce skin tension and provides protection from shear when beds are articulated or elevated. It also protects the heel area with a .75” gel insert for pressure relief, reduction of friction and shear and healing of stage I and II pressure ulcers.
